Pursuant to the Electricity Market Law, the power transmission system operator must annually develop and submit a 10-year Power Transmission System Development Plan to the Public Utilities Commission (the Regulator) for approval. The Regulator determines the information that must be included in the Plan, the procedure for its submission, approves it and supervises its implementation. The Regulator has carried out evaluation and approval of the Power Transmission System Development Plan since 2012 by evaluating the development plan for the next 10-year period developed by AST, every year.
