Baltic System Operators Conduct Planned Frequency Stability Tests

JSC “Augstsprieguma tīkls” informs that the electricity systems of the Baltic States – Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania – have been operating in island mode and autonomously controlling a stable power grid frequency since 8 February at 09:09 AM. The power supply system in Latvia is stable and secure.

According to the isolated operation test programme, Baltic TSOs are carrying out frequency stability tests to verify the capabilities to ensure grid stability.

The total consumption of the Baltics is currently around 3600 MW, generation – around 3300 MW.
