Latvian transmission system operator AS "Augstsprieguma tīkls" informs that the electricity systems of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania continue to operate independently and the isolated operation test is being carried out according to plan.

In the second phase of the test, Baltic TSOs are conducting voltage deviation tests to verify the capabilities to ensure grid stability. It will not affect consumers.

After the entire isolated operation test has been successfully executed, the system will transition to normal island operation mode. Synchronisation with Continental Europe is planned to be concluded this afternoon around 2 PM.

The total consumption of the Baltics is currently around 3200 MW, generation – around 2800 MW.
